GRAPHICS – NEW FC INTERNAZIONALE GYM

The internal graphics project for the New Gym in Appiano Gentile is part of the “Branding Appiano” intervention. The project is characterized by a series of great sportsmen’s aphorisms placed on the walls perimeter associated with blue and black shapes and FC Internazionale emblems. The project recall the team’s colors.

The implementation of new working spaces on the first floor of the building called “Hotel” has also given rise to the updating of the internal image of the large living room open on the bar used as a leisure and rest area for players.
The graphic characterization on the ground floor includes two great images related to the history of the Inter’s victories and repositioned the President Angelo Moratti’s statue and three dedicated collections; the first to the history of Inter since its foundation to today, the second to the players who make up the current squad of the team and the third to the presidencies of the Moratti family.

In the sub-section of the most historic part of the San Siro stadium (1928) the project developed by DONTSTOP Architettura has placed the new museum itinerary for San Siro.

The choice of arranging the museum’s materials in large open spaces has made possible the perception of the entire volume of the under-audience, enhancing the direct reading by the visitor of the exceptional character of the space. Along the exhibition path interactive tools interact with illustrating through video, text, audio messages to follow and underline each installation and object exhibited.

The project for FC Internazionale’s new offices in Appiano Gentile envisages a new horizontal stripe infill, partly reusing the structures previously in place, and characterizing the prospect with the great team logo. The intervention redefines the double-height space and offers an orderly visual arrangement of the spaces between the ground floor that houses the player lounge area and the first floor dedicated to the offices.

The project foresees the darkening of the perimeter of the main Camp and of the secondary camp through a system of inflatable elements.

This solution is temporary, the elements must not be anchored to the ground by any foundation, but only a ballast on the ground through the insertion of removable prefabricated weights at the inflatable elements base. Each modular element can be inflated and deflated in about five minutes.

The identity of the temporary structure is related to its flexibility, both spatial and constructive. Most of the space is occupied by the exposition area where is possible to find the shrines with the museum’s material and a basement structure for the exposition of the cups. Inside there are also services for the visitors and an area for projections and debates. At the upper level the exhibition gallery guides the public into the museum itinerary and also gives a large view into the internal empty courtyard of the double-height space in the middle.

The San Siro Store – Official merchandising is a store that allows the stadium to have a space at the height of the San Siro international sports facility. The design and layout project includes an intervention on all the spaces of the store which has two views over the playing field. The project reflects the identity story of the corporate image, making the common areas of the two different teams within the store recognizable.

The proposal for a communication campaign for the new San Siro Store opening involves 7 intervention sites that lead from the underground to the new store.

The project for FC Internazionale’s offices is a part of the San Siro stadium renovation program. The space under the seats platform is organized into isolated boxes that contain the private function. This system doesn’t interfere with the perception of this big and bright open space that becomes a meeting area where people can move freely.

As part of the redevelopment of the San Siro stadium at the 2016 CLF, Dontstop architettura has designed the new graphic and signaling system for the orientation of visitors within the sports facility. The need to optimize the operations of a large number of different substrates and surfaces has suggested the adoption of a system of adhesives signals capable of guiding the viewer from the outside of the gate up to its place in the stands.

The reorganization project of the stadium San Siro zone is based on the need to redefine the area close to the construction sites of the new line MM5 subway.

Around the parking fences, distinguished by uses and functions, the proposal provides a large public park open to the city and transport services to support spectators of major sporting events.
